Job summary

NOVA Parks is seeking an Operations Program Administrator to develop and administer safety, risk management, and insurance programs across park operations. You will advise management on safety policies, coordinate training, and oversee contracts, purchasing, and program implementation under the Director of Park Operations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of experience with a focus on safety, risk management, and staff supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field plus relevant safety or risk-management experience.
• Five years of progressive experience with ≥3 years in staff supervision in safety-related work.
• Knowledge of OSHA and Virginia occupational safety health regulations (VOSH).
• Knowledge of risk management and insurance.
• Experience developing and implementing new safety programs.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures and invasive management practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and manuals.
• Coordinate loss-control audits and safety training.
• Lead the NOVA Parks Safety Committee and supervise aquatic safety initiatives.
• Manage insurance programs and coordinate with insurers and legal counsel.
• Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and data analysis for trends.
