Join Our Team as a Safety Officer - Part Time, Seasonal at Sundance Mountain Resort

We are looking for a dedicated Safety Officer to promote safety culture and ensure a secure environment for guests, employees, and the community.

Position Details

• Rate of Pay: $21.00/hour
• Shifts: Part-Time Seasonal; includes occasional and regular shifts on holidays and weekends. Schedule may change to meet coverage needs, including during special events.
• FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-exempt

Key Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture and maintain a safe environment.
• Protect assets and prevent loss from fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Act as a first responder to emergencies and coordinate with additional resources.
• Document incidents involving guests and employees.
• Support accident investigations and lead during emergencies in the absence of the Safety Manager.
• Manage inventory of safety equipment and communicate maintenance emergencies.
• Enforce rules and expel individuals engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Provide after-hours lodging check-ins, Bell service, and respond to guest requests and maintenance calls.
• Conduct safety walk-throughs and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Adhere to confidentiality policies and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous safety/security experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, 2-way radios, and smartphones.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License in good standing.
• Optional: EMT certification preferred.
• Must be 25 years or older.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

Work Environment

Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. Responsibilities include participating in emergencies, providing medical care, and interacting with potentially hostile individuals. Safety within scope of training is expected.
