Position Summary

Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Safety Officer in the University Police department. The candidate would be expected to:

1. Check student and visitor identifications and document non-residents to the building.
2. Maintain radio contact with headquarters/police personnel.
3. Notify dispatch and shift commander of any criminal activity.
4. Prepare reports as needed or directed.
5. Provide directions and information.
6. Assist in the protection of life and property.
7. Enforce University rules and regulations.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Special Instructions to Applicants

Shift is Tuesday - Saturday, 9:30 pm to 5:30 am.

Valid Automobile Driver's License in your state of principal residence.

• Must be able to maintain composure and appropriate decorum during difficult situations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a Class I, II, Park Ranger or Security Officer.
