Job description

White Pass Railroad is seeking an experienced Safety Officer with a strong railroad background to manage and implement its Safety Management System. WPY sustains a high tempo of operations from May through September moving nearly 700,000 passengers with 2,000 train starts and 150 employees.

WPY is a civil engineering landmark running through mountain territory in Alaska, British Columbia, and Yukon Territory with a record of innovation and strong investment in safety and modernization all in keeping with being one of the world’s largest shore excursions.

WPY is federally regulated by both USA and Canada. Competitive package and benefits including Railroad Retirement Board service credits. Position based in Skagway, Alaska, USA, with the ability to work remotely four months a year.
