Responsible for conducting safety inspections, developing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with occupational health standards within correctional facilities.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements.
Education:
Major study in safety or occupational health fields (safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene), OR a degree in related fields with at least 24 semester hours in disciplines such as safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, or industrial psychology.
For GL-07: 1 full year of graduate education or Superior Academic Achievement.
For GL-09: Master’s degree or equivalent, or 2 years of higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B/J.D. if related.
Experience:
At least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in federal service, related to safety and occupational health, demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of this position.
