Job summary

Butler Hospital is seeking a part-time Security Guard to perform screening procedures for non-staff entering the Patient Assessment and Emergency Department areas. The role includes monitoring the hospital environment, assisting clinical staff with de-escalation and patient interventions, and documenting incidents and logs in a timely manner.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, 6 months to 1 year of security experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Licenses: Valid driver's license required.
• Knowledge of hospital security procedures and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the detection, confiscation, and secure handling of prohibited items.
• Complete required logs, reports, and other documentation accurately and timely.
• Follow hospital policies, safety procedures, infection control standards, and confidentiality requirements.
• Provide professional, respectful service to patients, visitors, and staff while responding to security needs.

Job Summary

Security Guard work in our Emergency Room and throughout Butler Hospital campus. Responsible to perform scanning procedures on all non-staff entering the department. Will also assist clinical staff as needed. clinical staff with de-escalation efforts, patient interventions, and other security-related support as needed.

• Assist clinical staff with de-escalation efforts, patient interventions, and other security-related support as needed.

• Complete required logs, reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow hospital policies, safety procedures, infection control standards, and confidentiality requirements.
• Provide professional, respectful service to patients, visitors, and staff while responding to security needs.

Requirements

Education:
