JOB TITLE: Safety Monitor
REPORTS TO: Building Administrator
LOCATION: Benton Harbor Area Schools
The School Safety Monitor plays an integral role in creating and maintaining a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for all students, employees, and visitors. The position assists the administrative staff with enforcing policies and procedures for safe and orderly schools at the building level, rotating duties in the building when directed.
As individuals in this position are modeling appropriate behavior for our students, adherence to the dress code is required. In this position, employees are expected to wear black khaki slacks, a district-issued polo shirt (two shirts will be issued), and closed-toe shoes. Additional polo shirts may be purchased directly from Human Resources. Employees not adhering to the required dress code will not be allowed to work their scheduled shift.
Salary based on education and experience pursuant to the Board approval.
The performance of this job will be evaluated by the Building Administrator and feedback will be provided to the Chief of Student Support Services and EduStaff on an annual basis, or as needed, using the established EduStaff reporting form.
