Job summary

AlphaX is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead fleet safety and regulatory compliance across our commercial trucking operation in Chicago. This hands-on leadership role drives DOT/FMCSA adherence, reduces risk, and enhances safety performance on our asset-based fleet.

You will own the safety function, conduct audits and investigations, develop driver policies, train teams, and partner with operations to implement measurable improvements. On-site work required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in transportation safety or trucking compliance.
• Deep knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Experience in trucking or logistics environment.

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our team and lead fleet safety and compliance within our commercial trucking operation.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for enforcing DOT and FMCSA compliance, improving driver safety, and reducing operational risk across our asset-based fleet. We are looking for someone with broad, hands-on trucking safety experience who can independently own the safety function, driving safety performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
