Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking a Safety Manager for Greendale, IN to promote and maintain a strong safety culture across industrial and manufacturing operations. The role ensures compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, and supports operational teams in maintaining safe, efficient work environments.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in general industry and manufacturing, with knowledge of industrial hazards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of safety experience in general industry, manufacturing, or processed environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA general industry standards and industrial safety regulations.
• Experience with explosive hazards, combustible dust, and wastewater operations preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site safety initiatives to ensure OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards compliance.
• Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; complete reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, contractors, and leadership to promote safe work practices.
• Support emergency response planning and hazard assessments.
• Maintain safety documentation, records, and compliance reporting.
• Foster a culture where safety is a core value and every employee goes home safely each day.
