Job description

Responsibilities

The Safety Manager in Grand Rapids, MI will serve as the Owner Representative for a ground-up build of a 40 MW Data Center, part of a multi-year project with over 185 MW of capacity.

• Oversee all aspects of the commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance
• Conduct daily safety meetings
• Complete accident reports and conduct investigations
• Perform daily safety audits and inspections
• Manage all subcontractors and contractors
• Supervise Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation activities

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of direct construction safety experience
• Degree in a safety-related field preferred
• OSHA 510 and/or 500 certification a plus
• CHST or CSP certification preferred
• Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
