Job summary

Fidelity Building Services Group is seeking a Safety Manager to join our HR team in the Maryland/Virginia area. You will oversee safety for select Fidelity BSG companies and promote a culture of safety across sites.

The role requires coordinating OSHA/FMCSA compliance, delivering safety training (OSHA 10/30, CPR, First Aid, Forklift), conducting audits and incident investigations, and driving continuous improvement with the Safety Committee. Spanish language ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor in Health & Safety or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in risk, safety, or claims related position preferred.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate compliance with OSHA, FMCSA, and safety regulations for select Fidelity BSG sites.
• Provide training for field teams (OSHA 10/30, CPR, First Aid, Forklift, Fall Protection, etc.).
• Conduct New Hire Safety Orientation and ensure PPE is received.
• Participate in client site visits and safety inspections.
• Schedule and conduct site inspections to ensure safe operations.
• Plan and oversee crane lifts and high-risk tasks.
• Prepare detailed site inspection, post-accident, and injury reports.
• Identify opportunities to minimize injuries and auto accidents.
• Actively participate with the Safety Committee.
