Pratt Industries seeks a Safety Manager to oversee and continuously improve our safety programs across operations in Vandalia, OH. You will lead incident investigations, safety inspections, and training initiatives to ensure compliance and injury prevention.
Responsibilities include developing new-hire safety orientation, maintaining records, and coordinating with HR, supervisors, and external regulatory bodies. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.
Responsible for all company safety programming and training.
College degree
Clear, concise oral and written communication skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, manuals, regulations, and codes. Ability to write business reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and outside officials to the company.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, volume, and net present value.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
