Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) in Seattle, WA. The role involves ensuring safe, compliant operations with on-site presence across major work areas during shifts.

The SSHO will coordinate with the Safety Office and project management, reporting to senior officials, and will collaborate with subcontractors to uphold activity hazard analyses and safety audits. This contract is 18 months with potential hire.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-hour training (General Industry or Construction) or equivalent.
• 5 years of construction safety experience or 5 years of general safety experience, or 4 years if holding an ANSI/NCCA-recognized SOH certification.
• Strong knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and related safety standards.
• Excellent on-site presence, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shifts, coordinate with DRs, and supervise safety staff.
• Experience working in a facility that was occupied.
• 24 hours document formal safety and occupational health.

Responsibilities

• On-site presence and accessibility during the shift.
• Be physically present at the project site with access to all major work areas.
• Coordinate with the local SOH Office to align on-site coverage and requirements.
• Work with trade partners on daily activity hazard analysis and NAVFAC review/approval.
• Daily checklists for safety protocols on site and ensure compliance.
• Submit daily and monthly safety audits to NAVFAC.

Job Description:

The SSHO will be present on-site with full mobility and access to all major work operations during their shift. This role reports to a senior project (or corporate) official and collaborates closely with the project management team, the local Safety Office (SOH), and various site stakeholders.
