Job summary

Cambria is seeking a seasoned Safety Manager to lead the facility's safety and health programs. You will develop and administer occupational health, safety, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

You will mentor supervisors, conduct audits, drive training on PPE and safe work practices, and partner with safety teams to ensure policy compliance and continuous improvement. Strong Spanish/English skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, ergonomics or a related field required.
• Experience: 7+ years of growing responsibilities in safety and health; 5+ years in manufacturing with at least 4 years in a supervisory/management role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer effective occupational health, safety, ergonomics and industrial hygiene programs per Cambria requirements.
• Manage internal Incident Response Teams.
• Educate, motivate and train line supervision and production personnel in good housekeeping, PPE and safe work procedures.
• Ensure compliance to all Cambria Safety Policies through audits and guidance.
• Spend time on the manufacturing floor to gather input and drive safety program improvements.
• Perform frequent safety audits to identify non-compliant equipment and processes and implement corrective actions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional regulations and company policy.
• Partner with other Safety functions within the company to ensure alignment with company processes.
• Managing facility safety team.
• Develop and administer effective occupational health, safety, ergonomics and industrial hygiene programs, including health services functions and maintenance of related policy and procedures in accordance with Cambria requirements.
• Manage internal Incident Response Teams.
• Educate, motivate and train line supervision and production personnel in good housekeeping practices, safe work procedures, PPE, etc.
• Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Cambria Safety Policies.
• Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.
• Analyze safety metrics and review weekly and monthly incidents to discover trends to rationalize the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest.
• Perform frequent safety audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site. Implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury.
• Accumulate, prepare and enter health, industrial hygiene, and medical and safety data into the EHS computer system. Analyze data and prepare standard and other requested reports for Plant management.
• Audit the workplace organization and Employee behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.
• Spend time on the manufacturing floor and seek input from Cambria Safety team members, Employees and Leaders on safety program improvement opportunities. Ensure open communication on status of progress and resolution against these suggestions.
• Ensure Plant leadership and Employees are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy. Audit the quality, delivery (including qualifications of the trainer), and effectiveness of all required safety training.
• Possess a management and leadership style to support positive employee relations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, ergonomics or a related field required
• Experience: 7+ years of growing responsibilities in safety and health. Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory/management role.

Preferred Qualification:

• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability
• Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
• Bi-lingual Spanish/English
• Proficient in Google suite of products and the use of pivot tables and the development of charts and graphics
• Certifications: Certified Safety Professional preferred
