Job summary

Sheakley is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a large-scale data center construction project in Haskell, Texas. This field-focused role emphasizes electrical construction safety and requires close collaboration with project leadership, contractors, and craft personnel to identify hazards and ensure OSHA compliance.

The ideal candidate maintains a strong field presence, addresses unsafe conditions in real time, and can support a fast-paced project with multiple active construction

Qualifications

• Current OSHA 30 certification.
• Minimum five years of construction safety experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting electrical construction activities.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and jobsite safety practices.
• Experience conducting inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Strong incident investigation, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with project leadership and field personnel.
• Comfortable working approximately 60 hours per week on an active construction site.
• Available to begin the assignment as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily safety oversight across the active data center construction site.
• Monitor electrical construction activities for compliance with applicable safety standards.
• Conduct routine field inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.
• Identify unsafe conditions and implement timely corrective actions.
• Lead site orientations, toolbox talks, pre-task discussions, and safety training.
• Review work activities for compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific requirements.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, document findings, and track corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with project management, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve safety concerns.
• Reinforce accountability and promote a strong, prevention-focused safety culture.
