Performance Food Group seeks a Safety & Occupational Health professional to develop and administer safety programs, ensuring legal compliance and a safe workplace. The role covers environmental health, fleet safety, and incident reduction across facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Environmental Management, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field.
  • 5-7 years related experience and
  • 6 months - 1 year supervisory or management experience.

  • Deliver safety programs within budgetary guidelines.
  • Decrease lost days from work and OSHA recordable incidents.
  • Demonstrate awareness of customer needs and perform job duties accordingly.
  • Develop interpersonal relationships to encourage openness and trust.

Position Purpose

Responsible for developing, implementing and/or administering environmental, fleet safety and occupational health and safety programs to ensure applicable legal compliance and create and maintain a safe and secure working environment. Also responsible for facility security and disaster preparedness planning and effective management of claims (e.g., property and casualty - workers' compensation, auto liability and physical damage, and products/general liability). Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Environmental Management, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field
  • 5 - 7 years related experience and
  • 6 months - 1 year supervisory or management experience
Preferred qualifications
  • 6-10 years Occupational safety and health management or related area within foodservice industry.
  • Knowledge in DOT (Department of Transportation) & FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration)
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and / or related area.
