Job summary

Faith Technologies is seeking an Onsite Safety Manager to formulate, develop, and coordinate safety and loss control functions on construction sites. The ideal candidate will be proficient with PCs and Microsoft Office, understand federal safety regulations, and have knowledge of the electrical construction trade.

The role requires 3–5 years of safety experience or 5 years in the electrical trade, a bachelor’s degree in safety or construction, and travel 60–75%.

• 4th year apprentice or above; travel 60–75% is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors compliance with government regulatory agencies such as OSHA, MSHA, DNR, etc.
• Collaborates with Safety Department to improve safety and health onsite and for the company overall.
• Interfaces with customers and contractors to facilitate best safety practices and compliance.
• Leads daily risk management and toolbox talks, and facilitates discussions when possible.
• Acts as primary contact for onsite safety-related issues or concerns.
• Conducts safety audits, identifies unsafe conditions, and ensures corrective actions.
• Maintains stock and orders safety supplies for project.
• Provides support to on-site personnel.
• Assists in task safety analysis and pre-planning.
• Trains employees in general safety practices including Aerial Lift, Forklift, New Hire Safety onboarding.
• Submits and tracks safety forms and site-specific plans and communications.
• Conducts accident investigations and recommends corrective action.
• Conducts drug testing processes (pre-employment, random, for-cause, post-accident).
• Guides field staff on employee health & safety matters; performs other related duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or Construction

Experience:3 to5 years of Safety experience

or

Experience: 5 years ofexperience in the electrical trade

4th year apprentice or above

Travel: 60-75%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 AM and 6 PM, Monday- Friday. Schedule may vary and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interfaces with customers and general and specialty contractors, as well as trade associations to facilitate best safety practices and compliance and provide an appropriately consistent approach to health, safety, and environmental issues.
• Actively participates in daily Operational Risk Management and tool box talk meetings, including leading and/or facilitating discussions when possible.
• Serves as primary contact for onsite safety-related issues or concerns.
• Completes jobsite safety audits, identifying unsafe conditions and work practices, and ensures appropriate corrective actions are taken.
• Maintains stock and orders safety supplies for project.
• Provides support to on-site personnel.
• Assists in task safety analysis and pre-planning.
• Trains employees in Company general safety practices including, but not limited to: Aerial Lift, Forklift and New Hire Safety Onboarding.
• Completes, submits, and tracks forms of written communication including, but not limited to: toolbox talks, site-specific safety plans and forms, procedures, and correspondence.
• Conducts accident investigations and recommends corrective action (if warranted) based upon incidents and/or trends. Determines the cause and identifies the means of prevention.
• Conducts various drug testing processes across the organization: pre-employment, random, reasonable/for cause, and postaccident.
• Provides guidance to field employees, project supervisors, and management on matters concerning employee health & safety, public safety, and environmental safety.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
