Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in construction safety / heavy highway civil.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, MUTCD (600 Index).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to teach OSHA 10/30 courses.
• Excellent communicator, trainer and field partner.
• Tech-savvy with MS Office, SharePoint and safety software.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1926 / 1910, DOT, FMCSA, and MUTCD standards
• Represent the company during inspections and audits
• Lead new hire orientations and maintain the safety training matrix
• Conduct weekly Toolbox Talks, on-site audits, and safety briefings
• Manage and grow the behavior-based safety program
• Investigate incidents and near-misses using root cause analysis
• Travel to remote job sites and perform monthly safety inspections
• Maintain programs for HAZCOM, emergency planning, and hygiene standards
• Monitor and support the Return to Work program
• Use telematics systems and safety apps to track behavior, inspections, and compliance (e.g., Samsara, iAuditor, etc.)
• Maintain accurate safety records and communication logs with agencies
