M1 is looking for an Safety Manager:
Position Description:
* Manages air/ground/industrial safety programs for assigned locations and shifts IAW PWS/federal/state/local/company
guidance.
* Demonstrates a continuous effort to improve safety operations, eliminate mishaps, and protect people, resources and
government property.
* Develops, demonstrates and promotes a safety culture while maintaining compliance, quality and a professionalism
atmosphere.
* Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies
relating to contract operations.
* Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance, safety, and quality control procedures in an
Army/USAF aviation environment (preferred).
* Maintains accident/mishap and incident records, conducts safety audits/inspections, and promotes the Safety
Management System (SMS).
* Manages key EHS programs and serves as the designated Subject Matter Expert (SME) for these programs.
* Conducts investigations and completes all required reports for aircraft accidents/mishaps which is used to determine the
root cause and develop sustainable corrective actions.
* Provides technical support to include: data gathering/analysis, training, and correspondence with both internal and
external customers.
* Completes CDRL reports, conducts safety briefings/training, and attends or conducts meetings as required.
* Produces quality work, meets all suspense dates, and manages EHS programs and job responsibilities in a compliant,
timely, and professional manner.
* Reports/investigates aircraft accidents/mishaps to determine the cause of the accident and formulate recommendations
to help prevent future occurrences.
* Provides technical support, such as data gathering, training, and correspondence with internal and external customers.
* Develops reports, conducts briefings, provides safety training, and attends or conducts meetings as required.
Additional Requirements:
* High School Diploma mandatory.
* Bachelor Degree in safety (experience, training and certifications considered).
o Graduate of one of the following: U.S. Army Aviation Safety Officer Program, Naval and Marine Aviation Safety
Officer Course, or the U.S. Air Force Flight Safety Officer Course and five years of experience managing and
administering a safety program.
OR
* Graduate of one of the following: U.S. Army Ground Safety Officer Course, U.S. Army Aviation Safety NCO
Course, Naval Aviation Safety Specialist Course, U.S. Air Force 1S0X1 (Journeyman (5-Skill) level or higher
certification) Course, American National Standards Institute (ASI) accredited U.S. Army CP-12 Program, and
three years of prior experience managing and administering a safety program.
* Must be able to attain/sustain security clearance as required by PWS.
* Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
* Comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance, safety, and quality control procedures in an Army/USAF aviation
environment preferred.
* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional
and non-confrontational attitude.
* Duties, assignments, locations and shifts as assigned.
* Able to work alternate shifts and locations as needed.
* Must be able to complete Ammo training if assigned to Molinelli Aerial Gunnery Range Complex.
