Description

This role involves partnering closely with UPS Global Health & Safety to assess and improve safety standards, procedures, and processes to mitigate risk. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship-building, service management, and technical skills, along with a customer-focused and quality-oriented mindset. The position is fully remote, with an expectation of 50% travel to various customer locations, and can be based in cities with major hub airports such as Chicago, Atlanta, or Dallas.

  • Account Service: Collaborate with UPS Health & Safety, Operations, and Engineering to evaluate the global safety management system, recommend improvements, and develop detailed action plans to reduce risks.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, innovate, influence, and inspire teams. This includes mentoring, coaching, and pursuing personal and professional growth, with the goal of becoming a leader in your field.
  • Continuous Improvement: Maintain a growth mindset to consistently enhance work quality and service delivery through collaborative innovation.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and sustain relationships at all organizational levels, becoming a trusted influencer to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in math, engineering, or related fields (or equivalent), with at least 5 years of relevant consulting experience in loss prevention or safety/health fields.
  • Candidates are often pursuing or have obtained advanced degrees and/or professional certifications such as CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, or CPE.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in specialized fields, service planning, risk assessment, risk analysis, solutions management, and performance measurement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry contacts.
  • Proficiency in using proprietary software applications and creating/modifying documents and complex spreadsheets in Microsoft Office.
  • Regular travel required.
