Job summary

CHEP is seeking a Safety Coordinator to monitor production floor activities and enforce Safety First on the plant. You will partner with leadership to execute health, safety and environmental initiatives, perform safety audits, and ensure adherence to GAP safety SOPs.

A strong emphasis on training and documentation underpins daily operations. The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, prior manufacturing safety experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a warehouse

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior safety role experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong customer focus and ability to build employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production floor and ensure CHEP safety guidelines are followed.
• Lead safety trainings and orientations for new hires.
• Maintain safety documentation and records with accuracy.
• Partner with site leadership to mitigate plant risks and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and SOPs.
• Support and lead projects targeting safety systems and manufacturing improvements.
