Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA is seeking a Safety Manager to lead a comprehensive safety program across all sites. The role focuses on developing policies, conducting audits, and guiding leadership to prevent injuries while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will deliver training, investigate incidents, maintain records, and collaborate with regulators to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, risk management or related field.
• OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid; CSP preferred.
• At least seven years in safety or risk management.
• Minimum three years in a supervisory/managerial role.

Responsibilities

• Model company values and lead safety programs across all sites.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies compliant with laws.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead root cause analysis and prevent recurrence.
• Maintain records of inspections, trainings, and compliance.
• Serve as liaison with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
• Develop and deliver safety training and orientation.
• Monitor program effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Coordinate safety committees and cross‑departmental initiatives.
• Oversee PPE usage, storage, and safety supplies.
• Stay updated on regulations and 5S principles.
• Travel ~40% to support locations.
