Job summary

The Thomas Young Group in Frederick, MD seeks a Safety Manager to support field teams and drive safety improvements on commercial and industrial projects. You will implement procedures and lead safety initiatives across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in safety roles, hold GSP, CHST or STSC, a construction-related degree, and strong communication. Willingness to travel to sites in different states. A proactive mindset and ability to mentor teams are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of safety experience in general contracting
• GSP, CHST, or STSC certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety procedures are consistently met across all job sites
• Collaborate with field and operations teams to align everyone with safety protocols
• Create detailed safety reports and present findings to various teams
• Work closely with the Safety Director and safety team to promote a culture of safety
• Drive continuous improvement in safety practices
