Job summary

FrieslandCampina is seeking a Safety Lead for our Turtle Lake, Wisconsin location. The successful candidate will implement EHS policies and procedures, conduct safety inspections, and promote a proactive safety culture across the site.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (associate or bachelor’s preferred), minimum 2 years in EHS or safety, and knowledge of OSHA regulations. This role is critical for ensuring compliance and fostering safe operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position Type: Full-time, Hourly or Salaried Non-Exempt

Reporting To: EHS Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and programs
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective action tracking
• Monitor compliance with OSHA, GMP, and company safety standards
• Provide safety training, onboarding support, and toolbox talks
• Track safety metrics and maintain accurate documentation
• Promote hazard reporting and proactive safety behavior across the site
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams
• Assist in emergency response planning and drills

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in EHS, safety, or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
