The role focuses on strengthening workplace safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory alignment across a production facility, collaborating with plant leadership to reduce risk and improve safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
• 4+ years EH&S experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state environmental regulations.
• Experience with SPCC, SWPPP, wastewater, or EPCRA is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence leaders and employees.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and mitigate workplace hazards (noise, air quality, chemicals) and implement risk-reduction programs.
• Partner with plant leadership to investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety, environmental, and compliance training with accurate record-keeping.
• Manage chemical safety processes including SDS access and change procedures.
• Support emergency response planning, PPE programs, and OSHA compliance efforts.

This person will be tasked with partnering closely with plant leadership to reduce risk, improve safety culture, and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental standards. The Role

• Evaluate and monitor workplace, health, and environmental hazards (noise, air quality, wastewater, chemical exposure) and implement programs to mitigate risk
• Partner with plant leadership to identify, investigate, and prevent accidents, providing clear corrective and preventive action reporting
• Develop and deliver safety, environmental, and compliance training while maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Manage chemical safety processes, including SDS accessibility and chemical change procedures
• Support emergency response planning, PPE programs, behavioral-based safety initiatives, and ongoing OSHA compliance efforts

The Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
• 4+ years EH&S experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state environmental regulations
• Experience or exposure to programs such as SPCC, SWPPP, wastewater, or EPCRA is preferred
