Job summary

NetJets is seeking a Safety Investigator to support the Safety Investigations Manager in executing the comprehensive Safety Program. The role conducts thorough investigations of incidents, hazards, and safety events, aiding in risk analysis and the development of effective controls.

You will collaborate across operations and third‑party providers, contribute to SRM activities, and help deliver safety training and communications while maintaining high professional standards and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety investigations of incidents, irregular events, and hazards with guidance from senior investigators; investigations may be remote or on site.
  • Travel as needed with little to no notice to support safety investigations.
  • Collect, analyze, and document investigative data, including reports and evidence.
  • Participate in Safety Risk Management (SRM) processes and document safety risk controls.
  • Collaborate with operations and third-party providers to gather information and support safety practices.
  • Contribute to safety enhancements and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support development and delivery of safety training and communications.

Purpose of Position

The Safety Investigator supports the Safety Investigations Manager in executing the comprehensive NetJets Safety Program by conducting thorough investigations of safety events, incidents, accidents, and identified hazards. This role actively participates in the Safety Risk Management (SRM) process, collaborating with operational departments and third‑party providers to identify hazards, analyze contributing factors, and support the development, implementation, and monitoring of effective safety risk controls.

Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety investigations of incidents, irregular events, and hazards with guidance from senior Safety Investigators or the Safety Investigations Manager; investigations may be performed remotely or on site
  • Ability to travel as needed with little to no notice to support safety investigations
  • Collect, analyze, and document investigative data, including reports, evidence, and contributing factors, ensuring timely and accurate documentation
  • Participate in the Safety Risk Management (SRM) process, including hazard identification, safety risk analysis, and documentation of safety risk controls
  • Collaborate with operational departments and third‑party providers to gather information, clarify operational processes, and support standardized safety practices
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safety enhancements and risk mitigation strategies
  • Support the development and delivery of safety training, safety meetings, and safety communications
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when handling sensitive safety and operational information
