Job summary

Enerfab is offering a paid Safety Internship in Blue Ash, OH, where you will work with our Safety and Project Management teams to gain hands-on field experience on construction safety. The role provides exposure to daily inspections, incident investigations, audits, and safety communications on active job sites.

You must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program related to safety or construction, with a strong interest in pursuing a safety career and familiarity with OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and working toward a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in safety and/or construction.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and general construction safety principles preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Comfortable in both office and field environments, including active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Jobsite Safety Support: Assist site safety managers with daily safety inspections, hazard identification, and corrective action tracking.
• Incident Prevention & Investigation: Support root cause analysis of incidents and near misses, helping implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Safety Audits & Reporting: Conduct safety observations, audits, and documentation to ensure compliance with OSHA, company standards, and site-specific requirements.
• Training & Communication: Assist in developing and delivering toolbox talks, safety orientation, and training materials to support field personnel.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain safety records, compile reports, and ensure required safety documentation (JSAs, permits, etc.) is complete and properly filed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to reinforce Enerfab’s commitment to building a proactive safety culture.
