Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking a Safety Intern to join our Safety Division on projects in Miami, FL, Ft. Lauderdale, and Tampa, FL. This 12-week program will develop leadership skills and provide hands-on experience in project engineering and field management.

The intern will support on-site safety staff, participate in field safety walks, complete incident reports, and help coordinate safety programs with subcontractors; there is potential to transition to full-time after graduation.

Qualifications

• Seeking a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• The ability to work a 12-week work schedule is preferred.
• Relocation may be required; if willing, a living allowance is provided.

Responsibilities

• Participate in field safety walks.
• Assist safety manager with first-day safety orientations for new employees.
• Complete accident and incident reports.
• Oversee safety and health of personnel on jobsites.
• Coordinate project safety programs with subcontractors to ensure compliance.
