Hensel Phelps is seeking a Safety Intern in Austin to support the Safety Manager and project team through onboarding safety programs and site inspections.
The internship aims to expose the intern to construction safety processes, regulatory requirements, and practical safety training, assisting in audits and incident investigations while pursuing a 4-year Occupational Safety & Health degree.

Safety Interns primary goals are to gain an understanding of the construction process and to support the Safety Manager and the project team in the successful completion of a construction project. This position assists the project team in planning, monitoring work activities, and correcting unsafe acts or conditions. The internship program provides the intern and Hensel Phelps with an extended opportunity to evaluate if the fit is right for a long and successful career with Hensel Phelps after graduation.
Moderate Work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Pursuing a 4-year degree in Occupational Safety & Health (preferred).
