Hensel Phelps is seeking a Safety Intern to gain hands-on exposure to the construction safety program while supporting the Safety Manager and project team on a live project.
The internship focuses on understanding the construction process, safety regulations, and effective program implementation, with opportunities to participate in safety audits, hazard analysis, and site orientation.

Hourly Base Salary Range: $23.00 - $26.00 USD (Virginia only)
Safety Interns primary goals are to gain an understanding of the construction process and to support the Safety Manager and the project team in the successful completion of a construction project. This position assists the project team in planning, monitoring work activities, and correcting unsafe acts or conditions. The internship program provides the intern and Hensel Phelps with an extended opportunity to evaluate if the fit is right for a long and successful career with Hensel Phelps after graduation.
Moderate Work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Pursuing a 4-year degree in Occupational Safety & Health (preferred).
