Zusammenfassung

Granite Construction is seeking a safety-focused intern/entry-level team member at a Washington location to assist in administering the accident prevention program and related laws.

You will support inspections, trainings and record-keeping, ensuring safety standards are met and compliance is maintained across projects. This role requires a current Bachelor’s degree in Safety or Occupational Health and a willingness to travel, with bilingual English/Spanish being a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Safety or Occupational Health.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in a field environment.

Aufgaben

• Promote compliance with the safety program and local accident prevention efforts.
• Assist in developing and implementing safety-related programs to meet safety standards.
• Perform and document jobsite inspections and audits with emphasis on hazard recognition and corrective actions.
• Assist in safety meetings and training to communicate policy and standards.
• Participate in regulatory inspections and investigations to ensure compliance.
• Assist in developing and reviewing job hazard analyses for major project phases.
• Assist in investigating and maintaining records of third-party, asset loss, and workers’ compensation claims.
• Coordinate with corporate insurance to ensure timely claim resolution.
