Job summary

The Wesson Group, LLC invites applications for a Safety Intern to join our Health & Safety team in Western New York. This full-time, hourly position provides hands-on experience in construction safety management with opportunities to work on projects across Western NY.

Ideal candidates are pursuing relevant safety/engineering degrees, possess strong communication skills, and are eager to learn in a collaborative, safety-first environment. Travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant degree in safety, construction or engineering.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA and MSHA preferred.
• Willingness to work both office and field sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety observations and field audits.
• Support OSHA, MSHA compliance and company safety programs.
• Assist in incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records and training documentation.
• Participate in toolbox talks, training sessions, and safety meetings.
• Collaborate with project teams to promote and reinforce a strong safety culture.
