The LA County Board of Supervisors has ratified a Proclamation of Local Emergency due to recent natural disasters, including windstorms and wildfires. The Department of Public Works seeks qualified candidates for an emergency Safety Inspector position to support recovery efforts. Initial employment may be up to 90 days, with potential for permanent employment based on performance.

Minimum Requirements:
License: Valid California Class "C" Driver License or alternative transportation.
Physical Class: Moderate (Class III) – requires standing, walking, lifting, and working on irregular surfaces.
Applicants must meet the County status as a Safety Assistant. Educational documents must be submitted within five days of application. The initial assessment will evaluate performance, with successful candidates considered for permanent appointment.
