The Office of Safety &Industrial Hygiene within the City and County of Denver seeks a Safety Specialist II to minimize injuries and promote safety across DOTI operations. You will implement safety programs, analyze hazards, and develop training for diverse worksites.

Responsibilities include SOP development, accident investigations, and data analysis to drive continuous safety improvements. Hybrid work model with field and office duties in Colorado.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental Health and Safety, a physical science, or a related field.
• One year per year of post-high school education may be substituted for the minimum experience.

• Interprets and implements DOTI Safety Management System policies and procedures.
• Identifies hazards and implements control measures to minimize injuries.
• Develops SOPs and performs Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Investigates accidents, documents facts, and supports case resolution.
• Develops safety training for various hazards using in-person and virtual methods.
• Reviews jobsites and facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborates with team leaders to monitor safety performance goals.
• Maintains health and safety data to recognize trends.
