Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a mid-level Safety & Health professional to implement and maintain safety procedures on a smaller project. The role includes supervising safety staff, conducting inspections, and coordinating with clients and authorities.

The position requires 2+ years in construction and 4+ years safety experience, with certifications in safety and health preferred. On-site work with potential for management duties on a project team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in a construction environment with 4+ years safety and health experience.
• Must complete pre-employment onboarding including background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Implements and maintains Drug and Alcohol Substance Abuse Program.
• Develops and conducts employee safety and health training.
• Performs detailed site safety inspections and incident investigations.
• Manages contractor safety programs and records.
• Supervises direct reports and provides coaching.
• Writes detailed safety reports and maintains program documents.
