Overview

Utilizes specialized knowledge to develop, deliver, and coordinate workers' compensation cost control services for multi-location accounts. Focuses at least 50% of work time on service account coordination, working with policyholders and internal partners to reduce loss potential. Supports underwriting with accurate policy rating and risk info. Works under general supervision, aiming for underwriting profit and demonstrating Zenith’s expertise.

Responsibilities

• Use evidence-based safety & health consulting to identify trends and prioritize policyholder needs.
• Develop safety & health service plans, oversee work of staff, and make corrections as needed.
• Ensure effective, cost-efficient service delivery.
• Influence policyholder decision-makers to implement safety & health recommendations.
• Oversee recommendations made to service accounts.
• Prepare reports for policyholders and internal teams, including executive summaries and year-end reports.
• Partner with safety & health leaders to improve service delivery and account performance.
• Conduct policyholder training to promote organizational change and risk improvement.
• Investigate serious workers’ compensation incidents.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with policyholders and agencies.
• Market Zenith and the Safety & Health department within cross-functional teams.
• Conduct underwriting surveys to assess business operations and exposures.
• Identify and evaluate workplace safety & health exposures.
• Evaluate safety & health program effectiveness.
• Identify complex controls to reduce loss potential.
• Meet quality, productivity, and service standards.
• Apply logical thinking to problem-solving.
• Work harmoniously with others.
• Participate in practice groups and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, science, or engineering.
• Recognized professional designation such as CSP, ARM, or CIH; or a Safety & Health Master’s Degree.

Experience

• 5+ years of safety and health experience, with proven results in coordinating services for multi-location accounts.

Skills & Abilities

• Master’s degree in Safety & Health or equivalent experience.
• Strong ability to analyze and report loss data.
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation insurance, experience modification, underwriting, and claims practices.
• Understanding of return-to-work programs.
• Knowledge of key performance measures and safety & health impacts on financial performance.
• Basic understanding of occupational medicine networks.
• Experience with P&C insurance operations.
• Effective communication, sales, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and proprietary systems.
• Ability to operate mobile devices effectively.

The salary range is $135,381.93 - $165,466.80, with adjustments based on experience and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, FSA, life and disability insurance, 401(k), training reimbursement, and paid holidays.
