Job summary

Kirby-Corporation is seeking a safety-focused Yard Utility at the Brazos River Fueling Facility in Freeport, TX. The role involves safely transferring fuels and lube oil to marine vessels and trucks, maintaining the fuel area, and tracking transfer paperwork.

Responsibilities include delivering/receiving fuels, keeping tanks and racks clean, performing inspections, and handling emergency response duties. The job also covers equipment maintenance, mowing, janitorial tasks, and other duties as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Training provided; no experience required.
• Must pass a physical examination.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to use firefighter equipment.
• Ability to use spill containment equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver/receive fuel, lube, and other supplies for marine vessels.
• Keep fuel area clean and maintain good tank/truck rack condition.
• Perform regulatory compliance functions such as touring inspections for the USCG, SPCC, TGLO
• Be able to perform emergency response duties
• Inspect and upkeep of pumps, hoses, and equipment used to transfer cargo.
• Facility maintenance and upkeep including mowing and weed eating (operating zero turn mower and tractor)
• Janitorial duties of office including bathroom.
• All other duties as assigned.
