Job summary

Idaho Forest Group is seeking a Production Operator to operate machinery and process logs into lumber and wood products. You will focus on safety, efficiency, and quality control while supporting multiple stations. The role requires the ability to work independently and in a team, with flexible shifts and overtime.

Training through the operator work-up program helps you advance. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are preferred; prior manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of following instructions and communicating effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, days, and overtime as needed.
  • Must pass a drug and alcohol test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery and equipment to process logs into lumber and wood products.
  • Follow safety protocols and report hazards to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Learn safe and efficient operation of each machine assigned.
  • Support the operator work-up program to advance through training.
  • Serve as a relief operator for a variety of functions and workstations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform duties as assigned.
  • Maintain acceptable production levels.
