PLA is seeking a diligent Pallet Sorting Machine Operator for 1st shift in Riverside, MO to operate and maintain the SMETCO 300 pallet sorter and ensure quality across pallets. You will follow safety policies, complete production paperwork, inspect pallets, report issues, and adapt to changing schedules in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Machine Operator preferred.
• Experience operating a SMETCO 300 series pallet sorter is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Good math, language, and reading skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain assigned equipment, such as a SMETCO 300 pallet sorter, following all policies.
• Sort pallets by quality, manufacturer, and type, inspecting conformance to quality standards.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance, clear jams, and remove debris from stackers and conveyors.
• Immediately report any equipment problems or malfunctions.
• Ensure productive sorting of pallets and hand-stack as required; complete all production paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace; follow safety procedures and adapt to scheduling changes.
