Economy Polymers & Chemicals is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist for our Houston facility. You will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of powders and liquids, ensuring accuracy, safety, and on-time movement of materials within a chemical processing environment.

The role requires experience with hazmat regulations, forklift operation, and robust record-keeping, with emphasis on OSHA/DOT compliance, PPE usage, and teamwork with production and procurement.

Formación

• 2+ years in a shipping/receiving role within chemical/industrial settings.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA and related regulations for hazmat shipping.
• Experience with ERP or WMS inventory systems.
• Ability to read SDS sheets and interpret shipping documents.

Responsabilidades

• Receive raw materials and goods; verify against PO and documents.
• Prepare and label outgoing shipments, including hazmat, per regulations.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in systems.
• Ensure proper chemical storage per SDS and company protocols.
• Support cycle counts and audits; keep workplace safe and compliant.
• Collaborate with production, quality and procurement teams.
