Job summary

IMTT is seeking a Chemical Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations in the Chemical Department. The role requires supervising a team of operators, ensuring safe and regulatory compliant product movements across tanks, barges, ships, railcars, and trucks.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 3+ years supervisory experience in the petrochemical industry, a valid driver's license, and TWIC credentials. Strong English communication and coordination with internal teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires clear and concise written and verbal English communication.
• Must be able to perform in a fast-paced, multi-faceted workload with sound decision making.
• Experience supervising operators in chemical/petrochemical settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operators in transfer, blending, and storage of hazardous liquids across tanks, barges, ships, railcars, and trucks.
• Ensure safe, compliant execution of all product movements per regulations.
• Coordinate shipments with internal teams, customers, and providers to meet schedules.
• Conduct line verifications and area inspections of equipment and systems.
• Maintain communication with customer service for prompt service delivery.
• Lead pre-shift safety tailgate meetings and enforce safety protocols.
• Oversee paperwork including rail, gauging, and vessel documentation.
