Job summary

Ardmore Home Design is seeking a Safety & Facilities Manager to lead workplace safety programs and oversee facilities operations across warehouse, production, and office environments. The role emphasizes in-person, on-site work, and aligns with our Ownership, Collaboration and Respect values.

You will conduct inspections, manage OSHA compliance, lead the facilities team, coordinate vendors, and develop training.

Qualifications

  • > Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety or related field preferred.
  • > 5+ years of experience in workplace safety, facilities, or related operations with a safety focus.
  • > Prior supervision of employees required.
  • > Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety requirements.
  • > Experience conducting safety inspections, investigations, risk assessments and corrective actions.
  • > Experience delivering employee safety training.
  • > Knowledge of facility operations, preventative maintenance, vendor management and building systems.
  • > Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • > OSHA 30 preferred; CSP/ASP or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

About the Position

The Safety & Facilities Manager is responsible for leading workplace safety programs and supporting the safe, efficient operation of company facilities. This role serves as the organization’s subject matter expert on workplace safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations while proactively identifying and reducing workplace risks. The position also oversees the Facilities team and coordinates day-to-day facility needs, maintenance, vendors, and workplace projects.

What you can do for us:
  • Lead, develop, and maintain company-wide safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across warehouse, production, and office environments and ensure identified issues are addressed.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses, identify root causes, and develop corrective and preventative actions.
  • Maintain required safety documentation, including OSHA logs, incident records, training records, inspections, and other compliance documentation.
  • Develop and facilitate safety training, including new hire safety orientation, ongoing employee training, and manager education.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify hazards, improve safe work practices, and reinforce accountability for workplace safety.
  • Monitor and analyze safety trends and provide recommendations to leadership to reduce workplace injuries and risks.
  • Lead emergency preparedness efforts, including evacuation procedures, drills, emergency response plans, and applicable safety committees.
  • Support workers' compensation and return-to-work efforts in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Stay current on changing safety regulations and ensure company policies and practices remain compliant.
  • Oversee and provide direction to the Facilities team, including prioritizing daily work, assigning projects, and supporting team development and performance.
  • Coordinate routine facility maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance to ensure facilities remain safe and operational.
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors and contractors for facility maintenance, repairs, and related services.
  • Partner with Operations and other departments on facility improvements, equipment installations, workspace changes, and special projects.
  • Identify facility-related safety concerns and ensure repairs or corrective actions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assist with facility budgets, vendor proposals, and purchasing related to safety, maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for employee and leadership concerns related to workplace safety and facilities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in workplace safety, EHS, facilities, or a related operational environment, with a strong emphasis on safety.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising employees required.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
  • Experience conducting safety inspections, incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action planning.
  • Experience developing and delivering employee safety training.
  • Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or similar environment strongly preferred.
  • General knowledge of facility operations, preventative maintenance, vendor management, and building systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence safe work practices at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to balance strategic safety initiatives with hands-on, day-to-day operational needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred; CSP, ASP, or other applicable safety certification is a plus

  • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
  • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
  • Required to use stairwells to attend meetings and engage with employees on multiple floors throughout building.

Compensation
