Job summary

Ohio CAT, a division of Ohio Machinery Co., is seeking a Safety & Environmental professional to support the department and help our branches meet safety and environmental goals. The role involves audits, training, and coordinating compliance programs across locations.

You will conduct inspections, assist with incident investigations, and help track EH&S metrics, while collaborating with branch management to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field preferred; or a High School Graduate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Environmental, Health or Safety field or similar.
• Willingness to travel to all branch locations four to five days per week.
• Strong knowledge of safety, environmental practices and compliance basics.

Responsibilities

• Support the Safety & Environmental Department in achieving goals.
• Conduct branch safety and environmental audits, observations and inspections.
• Assist with root cause determinations for safety incidents and implementing action items.
• Facilitate Industrial Hygiene testing (noise & air monitoring) as applicable.
• Conduct First Aid/CPR/AED & BBP training at branches.
• Assist with MSHA training as needed.
• Assist with Respiratory Program (medical evaluations, training, fit testing, voluntary use).
• Assist with Hearing Conservation Program (audiograms).
• Track EH&S metrics and prepare customer safety information and regulatory reports.
