Job summary

WestRock Company in Forney, TX seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to lead and support safety programs, culture, and compliance at the facility.

You will drive engagement, conduct inspections, lead incident investigations, and develop training to prevent injuries while coordinating with plant leadership. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety analytics are required for a Zero Injury culture.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Safety Management or OSH-related field preferred.
• Experience in Safety/Health compliance and culture change is desired.
• Knowledge of OSHA General Industry Safety & Health Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and workplace safety programs to prevent injuries.
• Drive employee engagement and safety conversations to identify risks.
• Oversee hazard recognition, inspections, and training for awareness and compliance.
• Lead investigations of incidents/near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, implement, and continually improve safety procedures and programs.
