This is a highly visible, field‑based role for a safety professional who enjoys being embedded with project teams, influencing behavior, and driving a proactive safety culture.

You will serve as a trusted technical resource, trainer, and advocate—working closely with field leadership to ensure every job site operates safely, compliantly, and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, values collaboration, and wants to grow their career with a construction company that puts people first.

What You’ll Do
Safety Leadership & Field Engagement
  • Act as the on‑site Safety Representative for assigned construction projects, providing hands‑on safety leadership and daily field presence.
  • Execute all safety functions across project lifecycles, from mobilization through close‑out.
  • Partner with project teams to embed safety into planning, execution, and daily decision‑making.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Implement and maintain site‑specific safety plans aligned with GCON’s safety program and OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs), pre‑task planning reviews, and project‑specific risk assessments.
  • Perform regular site safety inspections, identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and follow through to resolution.
  • Ensure all required safety records, documentation, and reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
Training & Coaching
  • Lead job site safety orientations for all new employees and visitors.
  • Deliver and coordinate safety training including (but not limited to):
    • Fall protection
    • Scaffold user training
    • Forklift and mobile elevated work platform (MEWP) training
  • Serve as a go‑to resource for employees on environmental, health, and safety best practices.
Continuous Improvement
  • Stay current on evolving safety laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Support incident investigations and assist with identifying trends and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager to identify opportunities to strengthen GCON’s safety culture and systems.
What You Bring
