Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a Ready-Mix Plant Manager to oversee production, operations and site facilities. You will plan and budget, optimize equipment utilization, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and manage personnel to meet customer quality requirements.

Responsibilities include establishing production plans, monitoring costs and productivity, and reporting production statistics. Strong leadership and ERP experience are essential to drive efficiency and a quality product for customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience running a ready-mix operation, including yard production and product delivery.
• Experience with OSHA/MSHA regulations and requirements.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.
• Experience managing groups of employees in multiple locations.
• Experience implementing driver training programs including safety and service.
• People management experience including performance reviews and compliance.
• Familiarity with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, environmental matters, cost control, production and maintenance for ready-mix facilities.
• Establish and monitor production plans with accurate cost and inventory control; analyze productivity and material data.
• Document production statistics and generate reports as required.
• Oversee mobile equipment and capital/operating budgets.
• Develop plans for improved performance and lower operating costs.
• Ensure quality processes deliver a quality product to customers.
• Ensure OSHA/CalPortland regulations compliance; lead safety investigations and training.
• Collaborate with departments to guarantee safety, environmental compliance, and materials performance.
• Maintain positive relationships with the local community; supervise personnel and development.
