Job summary

HazTek Safety Management seeks a Safety Director to lead the organization’s safety program across multiple sites and field operations. You will oversee safety personnel, partner with leadership, and drive compliance and a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years direct construction safety experience.
• Experience managing safety teams.
• Degree in a safety related field; CHST or CSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve companywide safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with OSHA and applicable regulations.
• Lead and mentor safety personnel, conduct site visits and audits, and reinforce consistent safety practices across field operations.
• Partner with operations and project teams to identify hazards, review JHAs/PTPs, and implement controls for high-risk activities.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions; monitor safety trends and report performance to executive leadership.
• Oversee safety training, emergency response planning, regulatory inspections, and required documentation.
• Support contractor safety oversight, PPE and equipment standards, and workers’ compensation coordination with HR/Risk Management.
