Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking a Safety Director to oversee regional safety programs across Ohio projects, including data center and MEP construction. Based near Millersport, OH, you will lead a team of safety professionals, drive audits, and mentor site leaders to maintain a strong safety culture.

You will partner with senior leadership, report safety trends, and ensure OSHA compliance through training and on-site coaching. This role requires extensive field experience and travel across the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years proven experience managing safety on major data center or MEP construction projects.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Quality or related discipline (preferred).
• Strong communicator capable of engaging internal and external stakeholders.
• Based near Millersport, OH; willing to travel to the job-site daily.

Responsibilities

• Undertake job site inspections, accident investigations and audits with corrective actions.
• Collaborate with VP of Safety and regional leaders to track key safety metrics.
• Lead and mentor a team of regional safety professionals across projects.
• Conduct new hire orientation and OSHA-compliant safety training.
• Engage with operations leadership, general contractor and client on safety matters as SME.

A leading MEP contractor is looking to hire a Safety Director to support active projects near Millersport, OH and the surrounding Ohio region. You will be responsible for leading the safety program at a regional level to ensure a leading safety culture across regional projects. The Role:

• Undertake job site inspections, accident investigations and audits as deemed necessary - putting forward corrective actions to continually develop the safety program and culture
• Work in partnership with the VP of Safety and Regional Operating Leaders in highlighting key safety metrics/trends on the jobsite, which will be reported back to senior leadership
• Lead and mentor a team of regional safety professionals working across different projects in the region
• Conduct new hire-orientation and implement training programs in compliance with all OSHA requirements
• Engage with all operational leadership, job-site teams, general contractor and the client in regards to safety related matters - acting as the SME for any issues that may arise

The Candidate:
