Job Description:

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Safety Coordinator to join our team in Tampa!

This individual will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the safety function for industrial sector construction projects.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Assist with the company safety training curriculum to include development of training courses and teaching of training sessions

  • Interface closely with all Field Coordinators, Field Managers, and employees to implement the corporate safety program

  • Contribute to the corporate safety and health program management, design, and continual improvement

  • Monitor construction activities and advise management on compliance with applicable regulations and/or laws

  • Direct the investigation of serious accidents, major property damage, and incidents with the general public; analyze investigative data and develop preventive measures to eliminate or control hazards and potential liability; maintain statistical data for accidents

  • Conduct safety and health program evaluations of construction activities and advise supervision and management of adequacy and compliance with mandatory regulations

  • Assist with all company claims management functions

  • Travel to various job locations (up to 75%)

Job Requirements:

  • To be successful in this role, you must have a solid working understanding of OSHA related to the construction industry and have OSHA 500 Certification. At least 5 years of safety experience within the construction industry is required. You must be able to speak both English and Spanish.

You will really stand out if you have:

  • A degree in safety and risk management

  • CSP, GSP, CIH, ASP, or CHST certification designation

  • First aid & CPR certification

  • Ability to work independently and productively with others

  • Experience with cold storage refrigeration systems

  • Knowledge in training programs and testing procedures & workers' compensation and claims management

Eligibility:
  • Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $79,300 - $99,300 per year. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
