Job summary

Irby Construction Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quanta Services, is seeking a Safety Coordinator for Central Florida. The role requires 3+ years in Safety/Training and 2+ years in Electric Transmission/substation construction, with strong OSHA standards knowledge.

The Safety Coordinator will lead safety observations, coordinate with project teams, and ensure compliance with safety policies across field operations. Relocation may be required and travel to sites is possible.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Safety/Training field and 2+ years in Electric Transmission/Substation construction experience.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA codes and standards.
• Certifications in safety are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure field work to ensure safety per specifications.
• Coordinate with project teams and safety committees to drive safety culture.
• Conduct site inspections of equipment, facilities, and procedures for safety compliance.
• Compile observation and inspection documents for project management.
• Investigate incidents and drive corrective/preventive actions.
• Facilitate weekly safety meetings and tailgate trainings.
